Join The Dream Team

SouthPoint Church is a volunteer run church. Our Sunday experiences would not happen if it wasn’t for the greatest group of volunteers on the face of the planet. We call this group - The Dream Team. We encourage every partner of SouthPoint to join the Dream Team. We firmly believe that God heals each of us of our own issues as we serve others. At the same time we know that when you love what you do you will never work another day in your life. Serving will be easy because that is the place where you will find your ultimate fulfillment. So we want to help you understand how your uniquely designed personality, coupled with the spiritual gifts God has given you help reveal a fulfilling path to your destiny.

Dream Team Opportunities

Band

SouthPoint Band creates and performs musical elements that support the message series and special church events. This team uses their musical talents to engage the congregation and lead our prayerful worship of the Lord. In order to provide an inspiring worship experience, this team holds weekly practices. Auditions are required.

Connection Groups

Connection Groups are our version of small groups that also meet in-lieu of a separate Sunday night and Wednesday gathering times. At SouthPoint we use free market common interest groups.

Creative

This team carries out the creative process for designing and executing all creative elements used in weekend worship services, as well as the brand management and communication channels for the church and other teams in the church.

Experience

This is the team that makes it all happen during our Sunday morning worship experience in the auditorium.  Sound, lights, video, slides and more – it all comes from our Experience Team.

Fresh Start

This team consists of trained intercessors who pray for the people that request prayer after service at our Fresh Start areas. They also have the great privilege to help lead people to Christ. Additionally, this team is responsible for preparing the Lord’s Supper on the Sundays we partake in communion.

 Hospitality

This team is responsible for all the liquid energy you receive for free on Sunday. If you love serving people in a practical way, this team is for you.  This team preps the café area, volunteer central and makes sure restroom supplies are stocked and tidy throughout services.

Impressions

Do you have a cheerful smile and enjoy welcoming people? This team actively demonstrates God’s love with every smile and hello. Conversations are short, but the potential to make a lasting impression is immeasurable. Impressions team are energetic, talkative, and friendly folk.

KidsPoint

We believe that children from ages 6 weeks to 5th grade can discover and develop a passion for God in their Sunday morning experience. Since we love our kids and value their safety, to serve on this team requires a background check.

KidsPoint is comprised of sub-teams: Check-In, WeePoint, MidPoint, KidsPoint, & Double Stuff

Maintenance

The maintenance team will commit 1 to 2 hours per week to serve the church. All current maintenance needs will be directed by our Building and Facilities Manager.  They will also be on-hand to help with building emergencies on Sunday.

Oneighty

Oneighty is the student movement for SouthPoint Church. We meet every Wednesday night from 7:00pm-8:15pm. Grades 6 -12 are invited to an epic night of worship and practical teaching from God's Word. You can connect with Oneighty through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram by typing OneightyTV in each social media search bar. Check out our website at www.oneighty.tv.

Security

Each time a group is gathered in our building, we have volunteer security officers on the premises. They are here to protect and serve our guests as needed.  All officers are background checked and thoroughly vetted.

Saturday Prayer

This group meets every Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am in our auditorium and prays for SouthPoint Church. Particular areas covered are the next day’s Experience services, guests, church leadership, prayer cards, and other items that are active and pertinent to church life and dynamics at the moment.
