Leading The Next Generation

At SouthPoint Church, kids and youth learn the truth about who God is and who they are because of Him. Our goal is to partner with parents to lead the next generation to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

We believe that children from ages 6 weeks to 5th grade can discover and develop a passion for God in their Sunday morning experience. Since we love our kids and value their safety, to serve on this team requires a background check. KidsPoint is comprised of sub-teams:

Our youngest attenedees (6 weeks - 3 years) enjoy games, toys, and interactive video and love from volunteers.

When our babies reach pre-school age they move up to MidPoint. This classroom utilizes interactive curriculum, crafts, games, coloring and other hands-on learning experiences.

If you hear a loud ruckus on Sundays, itʼs probably coming from our KidsPoint room.  We employ high-energy video curriculum that encourages kids to let their love for Christ grow through music, teaching and games.

Your First Time

Look for the area designated for KidsPoint when you walk through our doors. We will meet your family, check your child into our database system, and one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.

We will ask for the following personal information: family members' names, children’s names and birthdates, address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your child.

How Check In Works

You may check in your child at any available station. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

The Ride Home

On your way home, be sure to ask your child questions like, "Did you have fun?" and "What did you learn today?" It's our goal that every child has a positive answer to these two questions, every week!

What We Value

The Bible is the most amazing book ever written! We strive to bring its stories to life through activities and discussions that keep children engaged. We want all children to love God’s word and understand the value of applying it to their lives.

We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, children are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.

Every child’s name tag is matched to a parent-identification number, every volunteer is screened with an interview and federal background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel.

Kids love fun! We realize that when children have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus, including games, activities, singing, and live acting.
